Walter Tsushima was raised in Whittier and graduated from UCLA in 2002, then he went to Japan. For past 17 years, Walter and his family have lived at Sakai City in Fukui prefecture where is located south of Ishikawa prefecture. Recent earthquake has devasted Ishikawa’s Wajima City, particularly Machino, where is a hometown of Walter’s wife. In these relationships, Walter Tsushima sends reports to Southern California on the disaster and evacuees at Machino, Wajima.
